What We Collect
- Account information: Username (chosen by you), age bracket, gender
- Fitness data: FTP test results, power meter readings during tests
- Device information: Device type for app optimization only
What We Do NOT Collect
- Precise location data - We never access your GPS or location
- Contacts or address book - We never access your contacts
- Photos or media - We never access your camera roll
- Health app data - We do not integrate with Apple Health
- Advertising identifiers - We do not track you for ads
- Browsing history - We do not monitor your activity outside the app
How We Use Your Data
- Display your results on leaderboards (username only)
- Calculate and display W/kg metrics
- Enable group competitions with friends you invite
- Improve app performance and fix bugs
Data Storage & Security
- All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- We use industry-standard security measures
- Data is stored on secure, audited cloud infrastructure
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not share your data with advertisers
Third-Party Services
- Apple Sign In: Used for authentication only
- We do not use analytics services that track individual users
- We do not integrate with social media platforms

- Weight (for W/kg calculations, never displayed publicly)
- FTP test results and power data
Data Retention
- Your data is retained while your account is active
- You may request complete deletion at any time
- Deleted data is permanently removed within 30 days
- We do not retain backups of deleted accounts
Anonymization
- Leaderboards show usernames only, never real names
- Your weight is never displayed publicly
- Age and gender are shown only in filtered views
- Test data cannot be traced to your real identity
No Profiling
- We do not build behavioral profiles
- We do not use your data for AI training
- We do not perform predictive analytics on users
Your Data Rights
You have complete control over your personal data.
Right to Access
You can view all data we store about you at any time through the app settings.
Right to Correction
You can update your age bracket, gender, country, and weight at any time. Usernames cannot be changed to maintain leaderboard integrity.
Right to Deletion
You can request complete account deletion. This removes:
- All personal information
- All test history
- All leaderboard entries
- All group memberships
Right to Data Portability
You can export your FTP test history in a standard format.
Right to Withdraw Consent
You can withdraw consent for data processing by deleting your account.
Children's Privacy
FTPals is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to This Policy
We will notify you of any material changes via the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
